TUSD Reimbursement Program offers up to $500 in continuing education or re-certification credit. Please double check the qualifying criteria before submitting.

Sign up for courses throughout the year and complete mandatory trainings on this portal. TUSD employees are usually paid for the opportunties that occur outside work hours, such as weekend and summer PDs.

Grants are available for full time teachers and education support professionals in K-12 public schools up to $650 for eligible activities. Individuals may apply for this grant once every two years.

The Arizona Department of Education offers limited professional development opportunities for English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and STEM. Currently, they are offer free 1-hour Science and STEM webinars.

NEA offers micro-credentials for members. NEA micro-credentials offer everything from Arts Integration to Leadership & Advocacy training. Simply create an account and start earning micro-credentials. Most micro-credentials are estimated to take 15 hours to complete.

The K-12 center provides various methods of teacher support including their National Board Certification program. K-12 provides training, support classes, and financial assistance for teachers throughout the certification process. The National Board Certification process is very similar to the TPA (Teacher Performance Assessment) and includes several short teaching videos and reflective essays as well as content knowledge tests similar to the Pearson certification tests.
