RALLY TODAY AGAINST DEVISTATING BUDGET CUTS Arizonans need to stand up and speak out!
There will be a rally at the corner of Congress and Granada in support of public education. Join us from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Spread the word! Bring a friend or two! The current budget proposal includes larger cuts to the universities and community colleges and the cuts to K-12 are devastating to our schools. Public education cannot sustain this total lack of funding. There are a few moderate republicans who have gone on record opposing this budget. We need to email them (Sen. Driggs, Sen. Pierce, Sen. Dial, Sen. Worsely) and let them know that we support their position. Also, contact our representatives and thank them for holding strong.
Make a Difference! We need your support for public education and our school district funding! Call Gov. Ducey 602-542-4331 and say; “Your budget fails to fully fund education for AZ students. Kids need every available resource to succeed!”

Consensus and WCFS Agreements/Negotiations - First and foremost we are addressing concerns with the agreement and will not ratify until those issues are addressed. The TUSD Governing Board approved the tentative agreements with no other changes. We are posting the agreements, however as we are moving forward with discussions it’s is difficult to update where we are in the process. As soon as we have more information you will receive an accurate update and a timeline to ratify.
TEA is committed to visiting members and being present at our school sites, as well as interfacing with district leadership and our community, so the TEA office is often closed. We try to staff all day Wednesday but please schedule an appointment to insure that someone will be in the office to meet with you.
